So, to help you ensure a claim runs smoothly, it may be wise to understand the types of Information that are good to have to hand for a claim to be addressed swiftly and easily.
Depending on the type of claim being made, be it:
- Fracture Cover claim
- Sick Pay (Income Protection) Cover claim
- Critical Illness Cover claim
- Life Cover claim
It's wise to ensure you have:
- Medical evidence / Doctors Note etc.
- The birth or marriage certificate of the person covered & any other evidence of a change of name (if applicable)
- Evidence of income of the person covered as this may be requested in the event of a Sick Pay claim etc.
- Finally, if you're making a Life Cover claim - having a death certificate to hand can often make the process quicker.
Please ensure you keep making payments for the cover to validate a claim. It's very important that you keep paying your premiums. The Insurance provider will let you know when it's OK to stop.
