Back in 2018 we meet with the clients and implemented a package of cover that was cost effective to them, supporting them in the event of Accident / Illness / Critical Illness & Death.

We implemented Income Protection as part of their package. We addressed Life & Critical Illness via Legal & General with Income Protection via Exeter Friendly in April 2018.

Event

The individual suffered a 'Detached Retina' and due to his job was unable to work. Client made contact to check cover, and we helped with the claims process. The process was addressed quickly, and the pay-out eased financial pressure, enabling our client to concentrate on recovery.

Outcome

With the cover in place, it meant an income was provided to support the family financially, helping to pay bills etc. Given it's an Income Protection Plan the cover remains active, meaning if future issues occur and a future claim is required, cover is still valid.
